Police: 18-year-old shot, killed on Christmas Eve in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, Md. (ABC7) — 

An 18-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday evening on Christmas Eve.

Montgomery County police said the man was found dead at 6:31 p.m. in the 1000 block of Quebec Terrace in Silver Spring. Police were responding to a report of an assault and the sounds of gunshots when the victim was found with apparent gunshot wounds.

According to police, the victim’s death is being investigated as a homicide. They set up a perimeter and searched for the suspect(s) in the area following the discovery, though no one was found.

The victim has not been identified, and police did not say what led to the shooting.
